London Renewable Natural Gas Facility

Stormfisher Hydrogen BioGas Project in London, OntarioStormfisher Hydrogen BioGas Project in London, Ontario

Largest Food-Waste-to-Biomethane Facility in Canada

The London Ontario facility is an anaerobic digestion plant that generates pipeline grade renewable natural gas (RNG).

StormFisher was the original developer of the facility in 2008. The plant was commissioned in 2012, and StormFisher took over operations in 2015, taking it from an under-utilized facility to the largest industrial RNG plant in North America. In 2019, StormFisher spearheaded a significant expansion, including the first food waste to RNG system in Canada. The plant now has the capacity to process up to 225,000 metric tonnes of food waste per year to produce up to 750,000 of renewable natural gas to supply various industrial, municipal and utility customers.

In 2022, StormFisher sold its food waste to energy division to Generate Capital, to focus exclusively on the production of Green Hydrogen and e-Fuels.
